OOO OOOO OOOOOOO OOOOOOOO !!!
Mon, November 6, 2006 at 04:25PM A couple of the pieces are dry! While not works of art, i like em, i like em a lot! The texture is fabulous!
These 2 are tracing paper that sopped up excess glue and paint from the first piece. I sprinkled a wee bit of glitter, some fake metal mica scales, a bit of scrappy thread and covered em with sparkle organza. I can't wait to see what the first big piece is going to look like when dry! I have no idea yet what i'm going to stitch on them or how to treat them, but the thoughtbubbles are percolating!
And a third piece, dry now. First it looked all hazy like this:
I had done 2 pieces of organza over, one plain and one spirally. I decided to peel the plain off and tada!!!!
Rather "Nebula" ish!
The texture changes over the entire piece, as it dips and bumps over air pockets, threads, the mica pieces and thicker areas of paint.
To see what i am currently doing with the bottom fabric in this posting, http://arleebarr.squarespace.com/designjournal/2007/10/14/wip.html It's become my "challenge" piece for the Fibre and Stitch group.
