New Stuffs
Thu, February 16, 2006 at 6:05PM I got "some start" on the third page of my Sea of Electricity journal page this afternoon. I'm a quarter of the way through this one, and am trying a few things i haven't before: the foiling, the use of my own hand dyed fabrics, some rough edge applique and lots of spontaneity!
My Heart Current second stage!
I followed the "lines" of the dying as my quilting guide for the " electricity current", the blue areas will also have some swirly quilting as "water currents". I'm using metallicy blue and red bugle beads as "arteries" from and to the heart and the Grey area---which symbolizes both a lot of my life and my sweetheart! I'm not sure what text will go on this page or if it will have any at all. The left edge is the edge that will be against the spine of the book.
I'm slowly gelling some ideas for the inside "centerfold" of this journal---all i can say right now is that it involves a lot of my favourite colour and part of a drawing from 29 years ago!!!!!!
