About

I am a Canadian artist in Calgary, Alberta, working primarily with textiles. I'm curious, eccentric and just a little opinionated. Surrealist in thought, Fauvist at heart, this is my almost daily art journal, eccentric and eclectic, explorative and absurd.

So i'll have S and T here!

Camera is compliant today! We never changed anything about pixels so i'm not sure why it's taking so few photos--Greyman suspects the damn charger.......

Here are the pages inside Little Coffee Girl Book, and her backside:

little coffee stained and dyed pages

little coffee back--rusted lutrador

And what i rushed to finish yesterday so i could show it off at the guild meeting---pah i say, pah------cotton velveteen, discharging, painting, copper pieces, fringe foot, rusted lutrador, painted lace, hand embroidery, beading, found rusty bits, a fly, feathers, hot foiling, discharged screen print, seeds, dimensional applique--i used up a lot of scraps and tried some new things :}  Alchemy!!!!!!

I know some of you have problems with the photos on this host--sorry, it might be your browser, nothing i can do to help! (I use Mozilla Firefox)

Now what shall i do today? Again i am by myself as Greyman is up island for 3 days:  lots of studio time, buckets of tuna salad, 4 cats and bed when i please, here i come!

I LOVE the little coffee book. It's so little, and small pieces of art always catch my eye - it's like holding a small treasure.
The Alchemy Screen is fantastic!! Lots of colour and embellishments....plenty to catch the eye.

Hi!
Obviously the guild members missed an opportunity to see something uniquely wonderful. Had I been lost for an hour and ignored, I would have gone away thrilled if the difficulties allowed me to see this piece.

I love the little coffee book, and giggled at the thought of her backside. (sorry).

Yeah, I'm having readers with viewing problems, too. Not predictable (not all aol, not all ie, not anything I can tell). I've tried, but like you, I'm sorry.

Sometime ago, I found that when I go to your blog it always comes up text with little rectangles and no pictures. I discovered that it was worth taking the time to click on the REFRESH SCREEN/RETRY button as bingo!there they are. Thanks for sharing.

Darn it...I would have loved to see this in person too. Very cool. That guild just missed seeing a good thing that's all and they have no clue what they missed.
