Tools for Thought
Fri, August 1, 2008 at 8:04AM Belinda Spiwak had a great showing in the latest QA issue, with the "Go Green" quilt challenge---more tips from her at QA's "extras" page. I'll add the link to "The Thrifty Artist" as well; when i was first creating, i had no choice but to make do, and now i'm going back to it--it was ultimately satisfying then, and more-so now! Reminds me of my Granny: "Use it up, wear it out. Make it do, or do without."
With the exception of Belinda's article and 2 others, i was a little disappointed by the current issue. Not to say that the rest of the offerings were bad, just not my cuppa cawfee! Of course, if we all liked the same things, it would be a very boring world!
I had to order online to get a copy of the latest CPS---hope it's worth all the money for shipping!!!!! God knows when it will arrive---i'm still waiting for my first round Exquisite Corpse, not the sender's fault but the post office.........and i had to cancel an order from Amazon and get them to replace another as they shipped to the wrong address......and it's the 1000 Journal Pages book that i'm in and haven't seen yet!!!! I hate the post office. Poor Jackie sent me a package too for my Blogaversary and it's upsetting her that it hasn' t arrived yet-------maybe for the wedding? :}
Clairan Ferrono has a thought provoking article about working in series on the Ragged Cloth Cafe blog----aptly timed for myself, ironically:}
I'm feeling kind of blah today, and must get ready for the Flower Mines, so that's it for now...........
