I am a Canadian artist in Calgary, Alberta, working primarily with textiles. I'm curious, eccentric and just a little opinionated. Surrealist in thought, Fauvist at heart, this is my almost daily art journal, eccentric and eclectic, explorative and absurd.

what have i got that's pink?

Pretty. Pink. Not girly though. I've decided a small project is in order, and with a short deadline, the Alberta Rose Project is perfect. All of the proceeds raised from the auction will go to the Red Cross for flood relief. I *know* i was luckier than so many, had generous outpourings of help from my friends and online colleagues from all over the world. (Again, i am eternally grateful to all of you who have contributed in thought and deed.) This will be one small way i can give something back.

The DogFaced Girl and i are off on a daytrip today, projected thunderstorms beware of my mood :), and i just know i will find this naural beauty somewhere on our wander, to photograph and use for my inspiration. I already know what techniques i will use, so now for the research!

glad to see you're back to creative endeavors, Arlee. Beautiful fabrics in the previous post. Such interesting designs and colors--so subtle.
